Charities supported by IAAD

Indo American Association of Delaware supports a few charities every year, mainly in USA and India, based on the money raised in year-round IAAD events. In addition, IAAD and its Senior / Youth groups support local communities and also contribute to a Health Fund initiative for community members who are unable to pay Lab costs.

IAAD is also building up a corpus to support our own Community Center which will be a focal point for Community and Charity related activities.

All donations to IAAD are TAX deductible: IAAD Tax ID: 51-0314472. Your support and donations will be truly appreciated. Certificates required for tax purposes can be obtained by contacting us or any other Board Members.

I write to you on behalf of Godparents.in which is an online platform with a mission to bring together Indian NGOs and potential godparents to create opportunities for millions of underprivileged children who otherwise do not have access to even the most basic necessities of life. We request your help in spreading the word about Godparents.in among your association members and people in the community you live in.

Godparents.in started in August 2009 as a voluntary initiative by a group of young professionals in Mumbai. In a short span of time, leveraging on word-of-mouth networking, we have been able to raise Rs. 16 lakhs through individual donations which has fully supported the education of 256 underprivileged children across 14 member NGOs. For our efforts, we were awarded the prestigious 'Prudential Exceptional Fund Raiser Award 2009' - the first time for an Indian NGO. To this day, Godparents.in is managed and run voluntarily by an ever-growing group of young working professionals - which is why we are able to do what we do at extremely low costs.
